The Wisconsin football team secured its third consecutive win by defeating Northwestern, 23-3, on Saturday at Martin Stadium.
With the victory, the Badgers improved to 5-2, while the Wildcats dropped to 3-4.
Next Saturday night, Wisconsin returns home after two road wins to face undefeated Penn State in a highly anticipated showdown.

**Wisconsin runs out the clock for another win**
Northwestern's offense began deep in its own territory once again, and for the third time, they failed to move the ball.
After a three-and-out, the Wildcats punted back to the Badgers with just 4:29 left in the game. Wisconsin then ran the ball six times with Darrion Dupree before handing it to Cade Yacamelli on the final play to reach Northwestern’s 14-yard line.
Final score: Wisconsin 23, Northwestern 3.
**Northwestern stops Wisconsin on 4th and 1, but it remains a three-score game**
Both teams exchanged punts early in the fourth quarter. Wisconsin later advanced to Northwestern’s 6-yard line, facing a fourth and 1, but failed to convert. Tawee Walker was stopped on the right edge, after carrying the ball for 24 yards on the previous five plays.
Northwestern took over at their own 7-yard line with 6:22 left but needed to score quickly to stay in the game.

**Wisconsin sacks Northwestern quarterback Jack Lausch for a safety, leading 23-3**
Safety! Northwestern's Jack Lausch was sacked in the end zone by Sebastian Cheeks and Curt Neal after retreating under pressure on 1st and 19. Lausch, who has struggled against Wisconsin’s aggressive defense, was caught deep in his own territory.

**Tucker Ashcraft scores a touchdown as Wisconsin extends its lead to 21-3**
Wisconsin regained control after an impressive eight-play, 80-yard drive. The series featured a balanced attack of effective runs and passes, capped off by Braedyn Locke’s 3-yard touchdown pass to Tucker Ashcraft.
Locke rebounded well after a previous interception and fumble, showing poise throughout the drive.

**Northwestern offense stalls again after Badgers fumble**
Following a Wisconsin fumble, Northwestern’s offense failed to capitalize, going three-and-out. The Wildcats punted into the end zone, gaining little in field position.

**Braedyn Locke fumbles and Northwestern recovers**
Disaster struck for the Badgers when quarterback Braedyn Locke fumbled after being sacked. Northwestern's Greyson Metz forced the fumble, which Najee Story recovered, giving the Wildcats possession at Wisconsin’s 44-yard line with 5:37 left in the third quarter.
