49ers rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall made an impressive mark, scoring his first NFL touchdown in three games with eight catches.
From the Tampa Bay 46-yard line, the first-round pick caught a pass from Brock Purdy at the 30 and dashed untouched into the end zone. His 46-yard score gave the 49ers a 7-0 lead with 4:15 left in the first quarter.
Pearsall’s path to the NFL hasn’t been easy. He was shot in the chest during an attempted robbery on August 31 but made his debut on October 20 against the Chiefs.
In his first two games, Pearsall logged seven catches for 59 yards.
